Alternative Reimbursement Regulation published

As a consequence of lawsuits filed against provisions of the Alternative Reimbursement Regulation dated 10 February 2016, due to the regulation being published without obtaining the Ministry of Health’s opinion, the articles subject to the lawsuits were cancelled based on formal deficiency.

On 12 May 2023, a Alternative Reimbursement Regulation (Regulation) was published in the Official Gazette numbered 32188 and entered into force on the date of publication.

While the Regulation generally contains similar provisions to the 2016 Regulation, the definition of an alternative reimbursement model has been amended, the convening periods of the Alternative Reimbursement Commission have been set to at least twice a year, in June and December, and the period for an agenda item to be decided on by the Alternative Reimbursement Commission will be one year from the date of the item's first inclusion on the agenda.

In addition, the provisions regarding confidentiality, which had been cancelled by the Council of State , have entered into force in the same manner.
