World Intellectual Property Day
very April 26, World Intellectual Property Day is celebrated worldwide to learn about the role that intellectual property (IP) rights play in encouraging innovation and creativity. Within this scope; we have set the theme for our event as “Women in IP, from Creation to Protection of Rights” to encourage participation of women in IP system in respect of innovation, creativity and protection of rights in Turkey.
The event will be opened with a speech of Professor Rana Sanyal, a scientist and entrepreneur who has developed the first local cancer drug which directly targets cancer cells and which is the first medicine in the field of cancer treatment to have proceeded to the clinical trial phase in Turkey. Our lawyers and world-renowned local and foreign speakers will address the latest developments in IP law during the panels focused on commercialization in IP, patent, trademark, anti-counterfeiting and copyrights.
Our event will be held at the Seed within the structure of Sakıp Sabancı Museum.
