Our Anti-Counterfeiting Team Participated in the "Combating Intellectual Property Crimes" Training Organized by the Turkish National Police Force
We were pleased to take part in the “Training on Combating Intellectual Property Crimes” held in Istanbul on March 27, 2026, organized under the coordination of the Intellectual Property Crime Department of the Turkish National Police Force, representing our clients as a team.
The event brought together 115 enforcement officers and IP unit managers, alongside representatives of nearly 180 brands. Although hosted in Istanbul, participation extended nationwide, with officers attending from various metropolitan cities across Türkiye, allowing for a valuable exchange of practical, on-the-ground experience.
Throughout the programme, we had the opportunity to engage directly with police units, discuss enforcement challenges encountered during seizures and field operations, and exchange views on how to further strengthen cooperation in practice. The panel session, bringing together law enforcement and trademark owners, further enriched these discussions by focusing on practical solutions and mutual expectations.
The event also provided an important platform to align perspectives on proactive enforcement, once again highlighting the importance of close and continuous coordination between right holders and authorities.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Intellectual Property Crime Department of the Turkish National Police Force and all contributors for organizing such a valuable and well-structured event.
As Gün + Partners, we strongly believe that these types of multi-stakeholder collaborations play a key role in strengthening anti-counterfeiting efforts and enhancing effective IP enforcement in practice. We are pleased to have contributed and look forward to supporting similar initiatives in the future.
